This week will be an extremely busy one for us.  In addition to getting this letter out, we will be doing another television program, “Your Future Today” Tuesday evening.   It will be on the subject of money, and will explain just how much the Bible says about this subject.  Many people don’t realize that there were rich as well as poor Christians in the early Church. 

Money not only has a practical impact on our lives, it also has a psychological as well as spiritual impact.  People often dream about money and exercise some “magical thinking” regarding it.  As you probably know, money is neither good or bad.  It’s the USE of money that is the critical factor.  In fact, it would be safe to say that NO PHYSICAL THING is considered a sin. In all cases, it is the wrong use that becomes sin.

Following our TV program we must prepare for the Pentecost weekend.  Molly and I will be traveling to KANSAS CITY to spend Pentecost with the many wonderful Brethren in that area.  Actually our very first trip after Guardian Ministries began was to Kansas City.  We are looking forward to renewing friendships and making more new friends. 

FEAST 2001 PLANS

We have finalized plans for the Feast 2001.  Guardian Ministries will sponsor the feast in Palm Springs, California at the Riviera Resort and Racquet Club.  The meeting room is beautiful and spacious and the hotel provides many activities.  Please check out all the details in the enclosed letter and if you have a computer and can access the Internet, please check out our web site:  www.guardian-ministries.org to see all of the activities planned.  More information will be available as we finalize the speaking schedule.

Why do we observe the Feast?  What purpose does it serve?  Is it just to be our “Christmas?”  Or our vacation?  Is it just for a good time – physical fun, play, sight see?  Well, certainly the Feast will include all of these things.  But that should not be the primary purpose.

The emphasis should be on the WORSHIP OF GOD and His SON, not on exotic locations, or just fun vacations.  If we honor God properly, our attitude must be in line with what Jesus told the Samaritan woman: "… the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers” (NAS).

Many Feast Sites will have Biblical and spiritually edifying messages and will emphasize the spiritual aspects. Our feast will be one of them.  It is important to us that those who attend be uplifted and encouraged by interesting sermons, seminars and wonderful, inspiring music.  This will set the stage for all the fun and fellowship and quality time with family and friends.  When our priorities are correct, then we will truly be able to say, “THIS was the best Feast ever!”

We hope you can attend with us in Palm Springs 2001.  But, wherever you attend the Feast, may your emphasis be on the spiritual aspects first:  adoring, fearing, loving and praising our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ and following their commands for us to love one another.
