Guardian Ministries Newsletter #15

March 6, 2000

It’s a cool rainy day here in Pasadena. We drove through the rain all the way from Phoenix, AZ where we just concluded a "Christian Renewal Conference." There were over 140 in attendance at the highest point which was Sabbath afternoon. C. Wayne Cole, Ronald L. Dart -- former colleagues and fellow-evangelists -- and I were invited to participate and share the speaking schedule in this two-day conference.

People came from various church fellowship groups and from distances as far away as Texas and Minnesota. There were others from Colorado and California (northern and southern) who attended. They all came with one purpose – to hear God’s Word, to be edified and to share that edification through fellowship with others.

The enthusiasm there indicated to me just how much people are starving to hear God’s Word and thoughtful, provoking sermons. This also is show in response to my latest letter offering past series.

We have been so overwhelmed that we are far behind in filling the requests. We have added so many to our mailing list since some of those series were offered. The most requested of the past series we listed was the topic of the Beast.

This response has put us far behind so please be patient. Not only has this strained our schedule but it has also strained our budget. We had no idea that so many would want most, if not all, the series offered. But

we are grateful for the vote of confidence. I am please and happy to be able to share these messages with so many.

REMEMBER TO GIVE US YOUR NAME & ADDRESS: Some requests have come in with no return address on the envelope and no address on the "free offer response form" which was included with our letter. Consequently we have no idea who requested the sermons. This is very frustrating for us but will be more frustrating for those who requested the materials when they never arrive. Please remember to include your name and address and fill out the order response form.

The sooner you send in your requests for the tape offering it will help us determine how many to have made and then we can mail them out at a bulk rate saving extra postage. So please send in your request as soon as possible so others won’t have to wait so long. Thank you.

OUR SCHEDULE: Our next outlying trip will be in the Houston - San Antonio, Texas area on April 8, 2000. We are scheduled to speak to two congregations on that weekend at the invitation of Mr. George Crow and the Brethren in those areas.

The Tulsa Church of God with Pastor Lawrence Gregory has invited me to speak on Pentecost weekend. Pastor Gregory has asked me also to do a marriage/family seminar during that weekend which I promised to do.

MESSAGE TO THE CHURCH: We now offer the last two sermons on this topic. Remember this is a four part series expounding the first 14 verses of Ephesians chapter 4. That’s right. It took four sermons to expound the richness of Paul’s words in this grand epistle. And it has a vital, up-to-date message for the great Church today.

(In order to distinguish between the great spiritual organism which if the body of Christ and a local congregation or incorporated church, I will capitalize the first letter of the Church referring to the spiritual organism and use a small letter in "church" to refer either to a local congregation or a particular corporation. The only exception is when the word "church" is a part of their incorporated title. For example, The Church of God Southern California." Or the "Tulsa Church of God.")

Once again, while you have this letter in your hand, please take time and fill in your name and address and use the return envelope to request the last two tapes in this series. We will send them out to you in the next few weeks. Thank you for letting us serve you. We are always happy to receive feedback on the sermons and letters we send out.

CHECK OUT OUR WEBSITE NOW: We have had some difficulty getting our website going the way we’d like it but now you will see a brand new look. If you are careful in your look you will find a surprise link to sites of vast information including today’s news. All this is the result of a generous offer that came from a gentleman on our mailing list. He offered his expertise to help us get it looking good. So please check after you receive this letter. The address of the website is www.guardian-ministries.org – and we hope you will visit it soon. Also you may send email to me: David@guardian-ministries.org rather than the former email address. So, please disregard the email address at the bottom of this printed letter.

A special thanks to those of you who have helped make it possible for us to send these messages to widows, shut-ins, and others who otherwise would not be able to afford them.

With God’s kind of love,

David L. Antion
